While visiting my family in Medellin, the office back in NYC called with news of COVID-19 closures. I then extended my stay for what somehow amounted to that full year, purchased an old apartment in one of the city’s main strips, and made its transformation my creative outlet during the shutdown period.
I organized a team: interior designer + carpenter + ragtag construction crew. Then applied everything I know about creative direction to the transformation. The result? An incredible Airbnb you can rent right now. Superhost status 2 years in a row. And a viral Reddit post to about the renovation.
